Technical Graduate at Proximus

In September 2023, after completing my engineering degree, I joined Proximus as a technical graduate to complement my technical background with broader business experience. Three rotations through product management and strategy reshaped the way I work.

Fraud & Security Product Management at BICS

My first rotation was in product management at BICS, Proximus’s international carrier service. For eight months, I worked across the product lifecycle, from exploring opportunities for innovative products to tracking development and building partnerships. I gained hands-on experience in market research, business cases and technical reviews.

AI Strategy at Proximus Ada

At Proximus Ada, Proximus’s AI division, I worked on a broad series of strategic projects instead of owning products, from AI productization exercises to researching agentic AI applications for the telecom industry.

Streamlining Operations

In my final rotation, in the operational excellence strategy team, I optimized a network product line, from market research and analyzing the operational model to financial modeling of costs. I learned to collect data across the organization and combine it into strategic insights that prioritize improvements.

What I Learned

The graduate program gave me a broad perspective with deep dives in critical areas. I learned to manage complex projects without clear directions or straightforward solutions, and grew from a computer science engineer into a professional at the intersection of technology and real-world impact.
